JANUARY 2008 - TANDALI CRUSADE!
Located in Karnataka, the Lord's hand was evident.
But the Lord granted favor with the police, thanks to a God fearing
family serving as the superintendent of police. For the first
time since 2001, we had denominational churches heavily involved
in organizing an evangelical crusade. A CSI and Roman Catholic
church were instrumental in hosting the crusade. The grounds were
provided by the Roman Catholic church, and the CSI church hosted
our team for a Sunday morning service. The first night over 1,000
people attended. A local pastor Ignatius and his team led worship
in the Spirit. Many were healed and delivered as the Lord spoke
Words of knowledge through those ministering.
The second night over 1,800 attended and Gideon spoke a strong
salvation message. The Lord spoke through Pastor Gideon and Pastor
Ignatius, calling out many by name for healing and deliverance.
A man named John Peter operates a small day care for families,
which the church planned to close down. John had been worried
about the closure, as he would be without a job and not able to
support his family. During the service, Pastor Gideon spoke the
name “John Peter” and prophesied that the “Lord
will take care of your future.” Between 150-200 responded
for salvation. And again the Lord was merciful and healed many
others.
Sunday morning, the CSI pastor gave full freedom to the team to
lead worship in his church and the place was packed as invitation
was given to local churches during the previous meetings. Rev.
Simon Stanley preached about the importance of family in the eyes
of God, and challenged the people to make their homes places of
prayer. Pastor Ignatius led the people to worship with uplifted
hands and voices! Although this type of worship is not standard
for the CSI church, they slowly joined in and by the end of worship
were fully praising God.
The final night over 3,000 attended and the place was standing
room only. More salvations and healings followed! By the end of
the meetings, those who were early skeptics were thanking the
team for bringing such a great blessing to their town. The town
has suffered great economic setbacks when 2 plants closed and
tens of thousands left the area when their jobs were gone. Rev.
Simon Stanley prophesied that the town would be blessed. The CSI
pastor and other leaders involved in the crusade are faithfully
serving these people. May the Lord continue to move in Tandali
and multiply the seeds sown over these past few days!!!
